How to add Network Storage to your Chromebook (NAS)

Depending on the Chromebook that you own you’ll either have very limited storage space of 32GB or quite a lot more such as 256GB.

Traditionally Chromebook computers did not need much storage space because they were just cloud computers. However, today, you can install Android and Linux apps.

Android Apps use your local storage space, so if you install a lot of Android apps, this will be taking up your storage.

Linux Apps can be even more demanding on the storage space they require. This means, anyone using Android and Linux apps can soon find out they are running out of space.

The best way to manage your storage is to only use your local storage space for apps. The rest of your files you should ideally be storing in the cloud using Google Drive.

If you have a Network Attached Storage (NAS) hard disk in your home. You can attach this storage to your Chromebook, which will give you even more storage space to play with.
