HP has been making Chromebooks from the very beginning. In fact, my first ever Chromebook was HP and I absolutely loved it. Sure, it was a budget Chromebook but that was the standard for these devices back in 2011. HP also shipped more Chromebooks in Quarter 4 of 2020 than any other manufacturer. This helped to see growth in the same quarter rise overall by 287%. HP alone shipped 3.5 million Chrome OS devices in Q4 2020 and a whopping 9.4 million in the whole year of 2020.

The storage offered is 64 GB, which is arguably what lets this Chromebook down in terms of specs. That being said, I only say that because a lot of medium/high spec devices now come with 128 GB. I use my Chromebox 3 on a daily basis for storing large files and I’ve plenty of Android Apps installed. I’ve also given 10 GB of my hard drive to install Linux Apps. I’ve never had any issues running out of storage and my Chromebox has 64 GB. So I really would not be worried about 64 GB of storage. It’s more than enough for most of us. The display will not let you down either. It offers a Full HD resolution of 1,920 by 1,080. Add to that the IPS panel, which will offer great viewing angles and more vivid colour reproduction. You’ll not be disappointed with the images you’ll get from this laptop.

It also comes with a fingerprint scanner, which is really great to see. When you consider Google is now pushing out there Web Authentication technology for websites to use. Having a fingerprint scanner is going to be more than just helping you login to your laptop without typing your password. Websites that use web authentication by Google will allow you to log in to their site using your PIN or using your fingerprint. This will remove those annoying moments of trying to login to a website where you’ve forgotten the password. Find out more about web authentication on Chromebooks.
