I love my Pixelbook Go Chromebook as it’s definitely the best laptop I’ve ever owned. I’ve had plenty of Chromebooks over the years and my Pixelbook Go is the one I love the most. I’ll explain why that is, but first I need to let you know about this great deal.
At the moment you can get your hands on a brand new Chromebook for just £549. The Pixelbook Go has been around for a couple of years now, so you will most likely start to find it harder to get your hands on one. This is the same as what happened with the Pixel Slate; a great tablet that was very hard to buy from new just a couple of years after it was released.
Therefore, if you’ve been thinking about buying a Pixelbook Go I wouldn’t wait around for too long. This deal at just £549 from Argos is excellent when you consider the same device costs £829 from the Google store. That’s a massive saving of £280.
Pixelbook Go for just £549
There are a few different configurations available for the PIxelbook Go. The basic model is the M3 and the processor on this model will offer all the processing power you need. That being said, the next model up, which is the Intel i5 will obviously offer better performance.
Also, the i5 model comes with 128GB of storage compared to the 64GB of storage you get with the M3 version. The Pixelbook Go available at Argos for just £549 is the Intel i5 model with that extra storage, so you really are getting a good deal.
This is the model I decided to buy, which was mainly due to the extra storage. Don’t get me wrong 64GB of storage is more than enough, but having the extra storage is a great idea if you will be using Linux apps. I love using Linux apps on ChromeOS, but they can take up your storage. That extra 64GB will definitely be welcomed if you get into using Linux Apps on your Chromebook.
Why I love the Pixelbook Go
There are many reasons why I love my Pixelbook Go. Google has put a lot of effort into making sure the laptop looks great. It’s well designed and is super lightweight making it easy to take out and about with you.
It’s made from magnesium rather than aluminium, which is why it’s one of the lightest laptops you’ll ever own. This makes a huge difference because you can have it sitting on your lap and you’ll hardly notice it’s even there. A big difference to my bulky Asus CX5, which isn’t very comfortable on the lap.
The display offers a quality image, and it’s a perfect size. It isn’t too small and is definitely not too big either. It comes with a really bright panel and it uses IPS, which means you get great viewing angles and images are more true-to-life compared to cheaper TN panels.
The speakers and keyboard
Most laptops fail when it comes to sound quality. This is fair enough when you consider how small speakers are in laptops. Therefore, I was hugely surprised by just how good the speakers are on the Pixelbook Go. You could easily listen to music on YouTube or any other music provider without feeling the need to use a pair of headphones.
One of the main reasons why I love my Pixelbook Go so much is the keyboard. Being a blogger it’s really important to own a laptop with a good keyboard. The keyboards on Chromebooks in general over the years have improved, but the Pixelbook Go keyboard is on another level.
I can type so much quicker on my Pixelbook Go because the keys are extremely responsive. You never feel like you’ve missed a key, which really helps when you’re typing long articles. If you need a laptop for studying and you write a lot of essays; then you will not be disappointed with the Pixelbook Go. It’s without question the best keyboard I’ve ever used on any laptop.
Get it before it’s too late
If you want the best that ChromeOS offers then you can’t go wrong with the Pixelbook Go. Sure, there are newer devices now available with more powerful processors. However, none of these beat the Pixelbook Go as the best all-rounder.
Also, you don’t even need to be too concerned about the AUE Date. You will get updates to ChromeOS until 2026, and by then Lacros will be pushed out to all ChromeOS computers. This basically means you will be able to continue using your Chromebook safely after the AUE date.
