If you live in the UK you’ll find a great deal available on the Asus C433 Chromebook. At the time of writing this, you can get your hands on one for just £389, which is £110 off the standard retail price. That’s a pretty decent price for a Chromebook that offers everything you need to make the most from Chrome OS. I recently compared the Asus C433 against the C434. Although the C434 is a better Chromebook. There isn’t much difference between them.

The great thing about Chrome OS is that you don’t need to spend too much money to get your hands on a decent Chromebook. There is no need to worry about whether a Chrome OS laptop has a dedicated graphics card. This is great for anyone who likes to play games. Generally speaking, a laptop for gaming without a dedicated graphics card would not be a good choice. This isn’t the case for Chrome OS laptops because you can still play console-style games and PC games using streaming services. For PC games I’d recommend using Nvidia GeForce Now and if you prefer console-style games check out Stadia. Both of these streaming platforms bring cutting-edge gaming to Chrome OS.

This means you can get a laptop running Chrome OS for about £500/$500 without worrying about performance. All other tasks you’ll most likely want to do using your laptop can be done using a Chromebook with modest specs. The Asus C433 currently available at AO for £389 comes with an Intel M3 eight-generation processor. This is a dual-core processor with a base speed of 1.1 GHz and a turbo speed of 3.4 GHz for when you need that little extra power. It comes with 4GB of RAM, which is more than enough for most people. To find out more about how much RAM you might need, have a read of how much RAM do you need for a Chromebook in 2021.

WHAT THE ASUS C433 IS CAPABLE OF

The Asus C433 is perfectly capable of most tasks. Whether you want a laptop for surfing the internet, using social media, streaming HD movies or using Android Apps. You’ll have no problems doing any of these tasks with the Asus C433. The processor and RAM used means it’s more than capable of carrying out these tasks without any issues. You’ll also be able to use productivity software such as a word processor or spreadsheet program without running into any problems.

It comes with a Full HD display offering a resolution of 1,920 by 1,080, which is just what you’d want to see on a laptop offering a 14-inch screen. This means it’s perfect for streaming HD movies at home or when you’re out and about. However, if you’re considering using it to watch movies on the move. I’d recommend downloading them to your device first to save on mobile data. If you did want to access the internet whilst on the move you’d have to use a Wifi Spot. Another way would be to use the data from your mobile phone. Connecting a phone to a Chromebook is pretty easy to do.

Another great thing about the Asus C433 display is the panel. Choosing a laptop with a poor panel is something you should try to avoid as much as possible. After all, you’ll be looking at the display a lot, so it makes sense to ensure you’ll enjoy the experience. The Asus C433 comes with an IPS panel, which means you’ll not see a deterioration in image quality if viewing from an angle. This is perfect if you want to share your screen with a friend to watch a movie. You’ll also notice an IPS panel provides more vivid colour reproduction, so the images on the display look fantastic.

Asus C433 is a great looking Chromebook

When it comes to storage you get 64 GB. That may not sound like much if you’re used to using a computer that does not run on Chrome OS. However, for a Chrome OS computer, 64 GB of storage is more than enough for most people. This is because Chrome OS is a cloud computing operating system. This means you can easily store most of your files in the cloud. This is easily done using Chrome OS because the way you save your files is very similar to saving files locally. Also, to use a Chromebook you need a Google Account, which comes with 15GB of cloud storage free of charge.

Your local storage is better reserved for installing Android Apps. This is because Android Apps can only be installed locally. That being said, there is nothing stopping you from storing other files locally, but it’s a better and safer choice to store them in the cloud. If the worst happens and you lose your computer or you damage it. If you’ve been saving important files in the cloud. They will still be available to you.

IS THE ASUS C433 CHROMEBOOK RIGHT FOR ME?

If you’re after a computer for using the internet, social media, video streaming and using Android Apps. Then the Asus C433 is a good choice. It’s also perfect if you’re looking for a computer for work or school. You can easily use it for word processing, spreadsheets and many other types of productivity software.

There isn’t much you can’t do on a Chromebook, and the Asus C433 offers enough performance to do most tasks with ease. For the price, you’re getting a medium-spec Chromebook, which looks great and performs well. I personally love the look of the Asus C433 Chromebook. I think it looks much better than the more expensive Asus C434, which generally costs a little more to buy.

Even at the normal retail price the Asus C433 offers a lot for the money. At the price currently available at AO. I can’t really see any reason why you wouldn’t want to consider this as your next laptop.
